Brian is a Special Education Paraprofessional at Kasson Mantorville Public Schools and a Backroom Team Member part-time for Target. He lives in Kasson, MN.
Brian ran his first 5k in 2011. He began running consistently in the Fall of 2013 while training for his 1st half, the 2014 Med City half marathon. Since then he has completed 28 half marathons, 9 full marathons and one 50K, along with many races in shorter distances. He loves to give back and has had the opportunity to pace with the TerraLoco pace team during both the Med City and Healthy Human half marathons along with others in the area.
One of his favorite things to do is work with younger runners to help instill the love of running. In the Spring of 2018, he began working with the Kasson-Mantorville track team as an assistant coach and he will begin his third season this Spring. This past Spring, he started the KoMet Running Club at Kasson-Mantorville Elementary School with the goal of training the kids to run the kid's marathon on Med City Weekend. A total of 60 kids participated between the Spring and Fall sessions. He is also an assistant coach for the K-M Girls on the Run team. He had a great team of 10 girls finish the GOTR Fall 5k in November while teaching the girls lessons about friendship, empathy, feelings, and other important topics. Brian plans on using his passion of working with youth to encourage and grow the youth involvement in the Rochester Track Club.
