Calm winds and 70 degree temps greeted the Reggie Oeltjen Douglas Trail 11 Mile Race runners as they headed up the trail from the Douglas, MN trailhead. For early August, the conditions were very nice with temps getting close to 80 at the end of the race.
The top three finishers were from the 30's age group with Zach Fogarty coming across first in 1:05:47. Evan Richardson (1:09:26) and Peter Somers (1:10:38) rounded out the top three. The first master finisher, Nathan Mulholland, came across in 4th place in 1:13:16.
Madison Overby broke the tape for the women in 1:15:06. Kendall Pfrimmer was the second female finisher in 1:28:02. The third overall female, Angie Murad, was also the first female masters coming across in 1:29:13.
Special congrats to the over 70 age group runners, Ed Creagan and Gordy Strickland, setting the example for all of us on staying active throughout our life!
