Cloudy skies with temps in the low 70s welcomed runners to the Reggie Oeltjen Douglas Trail 11 Mile race on Saturday, August 4, 2018. The 55 runners endured humid conditions as they ran an out-and-back course heading north from Douglas, but appreciated the fact that the sun pretty much stayed away during the whole race.
Dan Feda, winning the race in 1:05:31, was the only runner managing to break the 6:00 minute per mile pace. Zach Fogarty was not far behind in 1:06:55. Eric Batterson rounded out the top three with a finish in 1:20:23.
The women were led across the finish line by Deb Thompson in 1:27:42. Jessica Feda and Megan Kluczny came across the finish line together in 2nd and 3rd with a time of 1:29:05.
Congrats to the 60 and over age-group racers who made up 25% of the finishers!
