Rochester area runners are invited to participate in a research study conducted by Dr. Amber Shipherd from the Health and Kinesiology Department at Texas A&M University - Kingsville.
The purpose of this study is to explore confidence in runners throughout training. Participation in this study is voluntary and you may discontinue participation in the study at any time without any penalty.
To be eligible to participate in this study you must be over the age of 18 and currently in the beginning stages of training to run a race of any distance (1 mile - 1,000 miles) between August 2016 and June 2017. If you volunteer to participate in this study, you will be asked to:
Complete several online questionnaires anticipated to take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete and provide an email address to complete a shortened version of the questionnaire during your race training
Complete a shortened version of the questionnaires that will be emailed to you (anticipated to take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete) at two points throughout your race training (midway and end of training) and one week after your race is complete.
