Half and Full Marathon Trng Runs to Begin Saturday June 17 - 7:00 AM at the RAC
We would like to invite you to participate at anytime in the Rochester Track Club full and half marathon training runs. The much anticipated, highly publicized, and greatly enjoyed long runs will take place beginning June 17th and every Saturday morning at 7:00 AM (note the time change from the spring's 7:15 AM runs).
Running schedules for the TCM, Chicago, Whistlestop Marathons, TCM 10 and Whistlestop Half Marathon, as well as the waiver for the Sat. runs can also be found at http://rochestertrackclub.com/ resources/training information (left side menu). Please note the distance for Saturdays as that will be the distance we will subscribe to. Of course, you can run longer or shorter. I have also attached the schedules to this email message. If you are running a different event from what those listed above, please use your best judgement with respect to mileage or let me know if I can assist with a schedule specifically for you and your event. Very happy to help out!!
We do ask that you consider a $1 donation per Saturday morning running session to cover the cost of aid station supplies. You can either choose to pay this in one lump sum where we will give you a break of $10 for all summer Saturday morning runs or $1 per Saturday run, whatever works best for you. Additionally we will ask you to sign a participation waiver. If you have already signed one for the spring runs, you do not need to sign another. Only one waiver per year is required. Attached is thre waiver for downloading or you can download the waiver off the RTC website and sign it, then bring it to your first run. We also will have copies of the waiver available for you at each Saturday run. Please be sure to sign and date a copy. This must be done only once for the entire year. Please remember we cannot accommodate animals or baby joggers on the training runs. Our insurance does not provide coverage in the event animals or baby joggers accompany us.
We welcome new routes and if you have a run that starts and finishes at the RAC, please let Sean Cedotal, Jim Li, or me know (plus a map of the route) and we'll try to get it set-up for a Saturday morning run. There are several new bike/run paths that surround the RAC. We all would definitely enjoy new and varied routes! The weekly map can be found on Jim Li's Facebook site at Rochester-MN Running
Please remember that these runs happen due to our gracious volunteers. No volunteers, no runs or we run in circles. So please, if you or someone you know would like to volunteer one or more Saturdays, it would be gratefully appreciated.
