RTC Spring Trng Runs to Begin Sat., Feb 15

Trust this finds you all doing well with your New Year off to a great start. This is the annual almost spring email announcing the RTC Saturday morning training runs. Please let me know if you would like to opt out of these emails.

We would like to invite you to participate at any time in the Rochester Track Club full and half marathon training runs. The much anticipated, highly publicized, and greatly enjoyed long runs will take place beginning February 15th and every Saturday morning at 7:15 AM (note the time change from the summer's 7:00 AM runs). Running schedules for the Med City and Grandma's Marathon, Med City and Gary Bjorkland Half Marathon, and Med City 10K Relay as well as the waiver for the Sat. runs can be found at the link below. Please note the distance for Saturdays. Of course, you can run longer or shorter.

We do ask that you consider a $1 donation per Saturday morning running session to cover the cost of aid station supplies, and therapy. You can either choose to pay this in one lump sum where we will give you a break of $10 for all spring Saturday morning runs or $1 per Saturday run, whatever works best for you. Additionally we will ask you to sign a participation waiver (found at the web address above). You can download and sign it, then bring it to your first run. We also will have copies of the waiver available for you at each Saturday run. Please be sure to sign and date a copy. This must be done only once for the entire year.

The RAC is open at 7 AM Saturday for warmth, congregating, and restroom use. Please be respectful of the other people using the facilities (i.e. VERY IMPORTANT......maintain an open pathway for walking to the front not crowd anywhere near the front desk...stay only on the carpeting). If we have difficulty with this request, we will be outside explaining the route in the cold weather.

Please remember that these runs happen due to our gracious volunteers. No volunteers, no runs or we run in circles. So please, if you or someone you know would like to volunteer one or more Saturdays, it would be gratefully appreciated. Please go to the volunteer link below to indicate yours or a friend's/spouse's interest. You can also just email me with your selected date(s) and I can fill in on SignUp Genius.
